Description: 

Anchored around a 880 surface acre reservoir, the park offers a natural prairie environment of gentle, rolling hills and complete outdoor recreation facilities, including camping, picnicking and facilities for group events.

Close and convenient, Cherry Creek is Denver’s big back yard.

Facilities and Parks: 

Boat launch ramps availabe on the east and west sides of the rerservoir.
The Cherry Creek Marina (303-779-6144) or visit http://www.cherrycreekmarina.com offers full concessions including boating lessons and bait. The park offers boat launches on both the east and west sides of the reservoir.

Fishing Description: 

This is an excellent warm-water fishery and offers trophy walleye fishing. There are over two dozen fish species recorded in the park including walleye, tiger muskie, northern pike, largemouth bass, wiper, crappie, yellow perch, bluegill, green sunfish, channel catfish, black bullhead and carp. The Colorado Division of Wildlife stocks the reservoir with rainbow trout, a coldwater species.
