Lake Information for Standley Lake
Standley Lake offers a comfort station that includes restrooms, drinking fountain, pay phone and outside rinsing showers. This facility is located on the north side of the park near the campground and boat trailer parking lot. The comfort station is closed during the winter months.
For convenience, there are also portable toilets positioned in other areas throughout the park, these are maintained by a contracted company.
There is also a fish-cleaning station near the comfort station. This facility also is closed during the winter.
Standley Lake's campground is the only area where daily overnight camping is permitted. This area has 60 designated campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. Season permit holders may camp in the undeveloped campsites located throughout the park.
Besides serving as a water storage facility, Standley Lake offers boating and fishing. However all boaters are required to have a boating permit in order to access the lake.
For boats with more than 20 horsepower motors, a limited number of season permits are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Permits for boats with 20 horsepower or under motors and non-motorized boats are sold for both the season and on a daily basis. Rafts must be multi-chambered.
Canoeing, windsurfing and sailing are some of the other activities enjoyed with a daily boat permit. Sailboards, kayaks and canoes are allowed two vessels per permit.
The lake is open for boating May 1 to September 30 from 7:30 a.m. to sunset. A four-lane boat ramp, near the main campground, allows for convenient boat launches. There are two auxiliary boat ramps, one on the south side of the lake and the other in the day use only campground.
There are several horseshoe pits and volleyball courts provided throughout the park.
Standley Lake's Nature Center is a great place to see some of the history and examples of wildlife of the park. The conference room inside may be reserved for meetings or parties.
As part of the City of Westminster's Zebra Mussel Protection Program, aquatic bait is prohibited at Standley Lake Regional Park. Aquatic bait includes minnows, leeches, frogs, crayfish, salamanders, etc.
