Description: 

Whitefish, at 7,370 acres is the third largest lake in the Brainerd management area and is part of the 14,000 acre Whitefish chain of lakes in northern Crow Wing County. The lake is a popular recreational spot in summer and has heavy boat traffic in summer. Water clarity ranges from 6.5-10.0 feet.

Facilities and Parks: 

There are seven boat ramps available on Whitefish Lake:
Small bay south of Pine River inlet on west shore.
On south shore of Pig Lake.
On north shore of Clamshell Lake.
On East shore of Crosslake near COE dam.
On East shore of Big Trout Lake.
On southwest end of Cross Lake.
South shore of Lower Hay Lake.

Fishing Description: 

Whitefish Lake includes fishing for walleye, largemouth bass, northern pike, bluegill, black crappie, yellow perch, tullibee, and whitefish.

While recent reports of walleye, northern pike, and bluegill have fallen in the "average" category over time, reports for largemouth bass and black crappie have been "high."
