De Gray Lake Fishing Report - 05/31/2009

By Anonymous - Posted on 10 July 2009

Date I Fished:
05/31/2009
Water Temperature:
88F
Weather conditions:
Sunny

The rain and cool weather have scattered the fish and bait from the deep thermocline. Try using in-line spinners (Roostertails), jigging spoons and swim baits. Fish will not be as deep as they have been because the water is cooler.

For colors, pumpkin is good.

Bass fishing is fair in the early morning and late in the evening. Try fishing main-lake points, and then fish about 15 to 20 feet deep later in the day. Try swim baits and top-waters for breaking fish and Texas-rigged worms for the deeper fish.
