White Bear Lake is a 2,416 acre lake located in the town of White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The lake is extensively developed with businesses and private houses. The lake is one of many fine fishing lakes in the Twin Cities metro area.

Facilities and Parks: 

Besides several private marinas, there are two public boats ramps: at the Ramsey County Park on the NW shore of the north lake basin and the west shore near bridge to Manitou Island.

Fishing Description: 

White Bear Lake is stocked with walleye and muskie (and occasional northern pike). Fishing for these species has been good. Other good fishing includes bluegill, yellow perch, pumpkinseed sunfish, and rock bass, with lesser fishing for largemouth bass, and smallmouth bass.

Directions to Lake: 

From the Twin Cities, take 35E north to Hwy 96. Head east to the lake.
