Description: 

Lake Waubesa is one of the four lakes in Madison, Wisconsin.

Facilities and Parks: 

The lake has an accessible boat launch pier, with fish cleaning facility for fishing.

Fishing Description: 

Species of fish include northern pike, walleye, largemouth bass, panfish, muskie, smallmouth bass, and catfish.

Recent survery show the following: Walleye numbers are excellent with numerous fish over 15” present. Bass numbers are also strong and the population characterized by quality sizes and abundant recruitment. Favorable northern pike habitat has resulted in a solid pike resource with large fish well represented in the sampling. Panfish are prolific with the majority of fish in the 6” size class.

South of Madison. Exit U.S. Highway 12/18 South onto South Towne Drive, left on Moorland Road to Lake Farm Road and left on Libby Road.
